DVD Jon strikes again...

I found this in SMH this morning...

A young Norwegian who drew the ire of the Hollywood movie industry by breaking the encryption code for DVDs has now devised a program to circumvent Apple's anti-piracy system for its iTunes music download service, Norwegian media reported on Wednesday.
The program, called PyMusique, makes it possible for users to use iTunes on all operating systems and not just the authorised systems Microsoft Windows and Apple's Mac Os, financial daily Dagens Naeringsliv said.

Jon Lech Johansen, 21, known in cyberspace as DVD Jon, created the program with two partners.

With PyMusique, users still have to pay for the tunes they want, but once paid for they can use them freely with no limits on copying, transfers or burning.

When will the MPAA or RIAA offer Jon a job with a seriously large lump of cash to get him off the streets? Or else he will continue to thwart their efforts. Something about keeping your friends close and your enemies closer.
