Apple is at it again...

Apple's coders and engineers have been working hard lately. And they have generally been keeping their mouth shut too. Steve Jobs launched a few new products yesterday at an event in San Francisco.

The products are:
  • iTunes 5 - It hasn't been long since iTunes 4.5 was rolled out the door but they have managed to make a fair few updates to the new version.
    • New Look
Streamlined design makes iTunes even easier to use.
    • Search Bar
Find stuff fast and refine your search with the handy new Search Bar.
    • Smart Shuffle
Adjust random playback to hear what you want.
    • Sync from Outlook
iTunes now supports iPod syncing for Outlook and Outlook Express on Windows PCs.
    • Playlist Folders
Organize all your playlists into folders.
    • Parental Controls
Limit kids’ access to the iTunes Music Store and sharing features.
    • Album Reviews
      Browse over 1,000 album reviews.
  • iPod nano - From the press guff:
Take everything you love about iPod and shrink it. Now shrink it again. With 2GB (500 songs) and 4GB (1,000 songs) models starting at $199, the pencil-thin iPod nano packs the entire iPod experience into an impossibly small design. So small, it will take your music places you never dreamed of.

  • iTunes Mobile - In an exclusive deal with Motorola, they have basically stuck an iPod shuffle into a mobile phone.
