The Family Truckster...

A few weeks ago, we picked up our new car. A Subaru Liberty 2.5i and what a great car it is. Drives very nice, tons of room, climate control is great, excellent stereo and the very cool dual sunroof (which is just perfect for those balmy summer evenings).

We gave it a wash this afternoon and before it got dirty again I took a few pictures.

One thing I noticed the other day, there is not one place on the exterior of the car where the word Subaru is placed. Only the Pleiades ("Subaru" is the Japanese word for the star cluster Pleiades that is depicted in the company logo) in the grille and tailgate. I wonder why that is... Even the interior requires a good look before finding the word Subaru.

quite the opposite of some cars you get that have the logos and company name plastered all over them. Subaru seams to be applying a bit more taste to their products

Could they be trying to further their push to be the Japanese European car maker?

Mercs, BMWs and Audis don't seem to have their name on the outside of their vehicles, just logos. Maybe that is it...
